MediaTek wins “Best Technology for Mobile Phone” Award at the 5th National Telecom Awards 2011
MediaTek Inc., a leading fabless semiconductor company for wireless communications and digital multimedia solutions, is pleased to announce that it has received the “Best Technology for Mobile Phone” award at the 5th National Telecom Awards 2011 conference held in Delhi today. The conference was hosted by CMAI Association of India, the apex premier and foremost non-profit trade promotion organization in India.
Started in 2007 to felicitate the best Telecom companies, Service Operators, Research and Development & Innovations, the awards are considered to be the ultimate recognition in the telecom Sector. The awards were presented by Shri K Rehman Khan, Hon’ble Dy Chairman, Rajya Sabha. Other guests of honor included Shri Sachin Pilot, Minister of State for Communication & IT and Shri Jyotiraditya Madhavrao Scindia, Hon’ble Minister of State, Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
Expressing his delight at winning the award Mr.Grant Kuo- MD, MediaTek India, said “We are honoured to receive the Best Technology for Mobile Phone award, as it is a testament to our commitment to innovation over the years. The award ceremony was attended by leading mobile network operators, handset makers, VAS companies from across India.
