Awarded based on feedback from the greater GSA community, Marvell has been named the ‘2018 Most Respected Public Semiconductor Company’ by the Global Semiconductor Alliance, for companies with $1bn to $5bn in annual sales. The award recognises industry leaders that have demonstrated excellence through their vision, innovation, execution and overall reputation.

“Marvell has undertaken a cultural and technological transformation over the past two-and-a-half years,” said Matt Murphy, President and CEO. “This award belongs to the Marvell team who, working together, have turned the company into a leading supplier for the infrastructure market. And while our work is never done, the award is recognition that we’re on the right path.”

For almost a quarter-century, the GSA awards have recognised the achievements of top-performing semiconductor companies in several categories, ranging from outstanding leadership to financial accomplishments, as well as overall respect within the industry. The organisation represents over 350 of the top companies in the semiconductor industry, which together generate 75% of the industry’s revenues.

Jodi Shelton, President and Co-Founder of GSA, added: “Marvell is a major force in the semiconductor industry and their peers, partners and customers admire their transformation and accordingly the GSA has bestowed the Most Respected Public Semiconductor Company award to them. The company has prioritised innovation focused on some of the key growth markets like cloud, enterprise and automotive, established one of America’s best companies to work for and has demonstrated relentless execution under the leadership of Matt Murphy. This recognition is well deserved.”
