Magnetic component supplier increases manufacturing by 50%

The opening of a second manufacturing site has been announced by ETAL Group. The site in Ratmalana, Sri Lanka, represents a substantial investment by the company, increases its worldwide manufacturing space by 50%.

Dan Phelan, President of ETAL said: “ETAL Group aims to be the first choice supplier of specialist magnetic components and high-end audio amplifiers. Most of our output is in custom or optimised designs to satisfy customers' specific requirements in the most cost and environmentally effective way. The investment in a further manufacturing site is driven by growth across all our major markets. It allows us to offer a flexible and very competitive service whilst maintaining the high quality standards our customers expect.”

The 2,500m2 ETAL Group facility is located alongside the existing 2650m2 unit in Sri Lanka which has been operational since 2008. ETAL also has a 2400msite in Estonia. All three units have ISO 9001, 14001 and 18001 certifications. Manufacturing capabilities in Sri Lanka include manual and automatic fine wire winding (linear and toroidal), NC and manual soldering, assembly, vacuum encapsulation, ferrite core grinding and electrical verification to fully cover the manufacturing requirements of a wide range of standard and custom designed magnetic components and assemblies.

ETAL manufactures and sells in-house developed high-performance magnetic components such as transformers and inductors, which are used in AC/DC converters, DC/DC converters and signal applications. Target markets include the telecom, power technology, automotive, industrial and defence industries. The majority of components are custom-designed for specific applications, but ETAL also offers a range of standard components. It also develops and manufactures the Anaview range of high-quality Class D amplifiers for the global audio industry.
