Which? has awarded Verbatim's 9.5W Classic A LED lamp as a Best Buy in its 2014 Lightbulb test. Brightness, light quality, energy efficiency, durability and power factor were assessed in the test, which included compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs), halogens and LED lamps widely available to British customers.

Due to their brightness, durability and energy efficiency, LEDs consistently outperformed other types of bulb in the tests. The 9.5W Classic A LED lamp, which is supplied with a B22 (bayonet) or E27 (screw) fitting, features an actual brightness of 894lm from a claimed performance of 860lm. Verbatim also claim that the lamp has a life expectancy of 30,000 hours, which is around 30 years if used for a couple of hours a day.

The Which? team commented: “Very durable and efficient, and as bright as it claims to be – it’s the best bulb we’ve tested”.

“Verbatim is honoured to be recognised as a producer of the most reliable and best LED lamps by Which?. Being endorsed after such rigorous, independent testing illustrates our commitment to creating a world of energy-saving lighting by encouraging satisfied consumers to fully embrace LED technology,” commented Mats Nordin, LED Sales Manager North Europe, Verbatim.
