The Nadcap accreditation for Computed Radiography has been awarded to Element Materials Technology’s Rancho Dominguez laboratory. Element Rancho Dominguez is an Aerospace Non-Destructive Testing and Inspection Centre of Technical Excellence and has become the first large scale, independent testing laboratory in the greater Los Angeles area to be granted this important accreditation.

Achieving the best possible result of zero audit findings, the accreditation is further evidence of Rancho Dominguez's focus on the Aerospace NDT industry into the digital future. Computed Radiography has benefits over its traditional counterpart saving clients both time and money.

The transfer of digital images allows for faster collaboration and the elimination of physical film means that there is no longer a need for clients to pay for the associated shipping and storage costs.

Rick Sluiters, Element’s EVP, Aerospace commented: ''We are extremely proud to receive yet another Nadcap accreditation at our Rancho Dominguez laboratory. Element has one of the highest number of Nadcap-accredited laboratories in the world, demonstrating our continued commitment to becoming the best and most trusted testing partner in the sector.”

Sluiters added: “Not only is Rancho Dominguez the only laboratory in the LA area to gain this particular approval, but this also opens the door for our latest NDT laboratory in Portland to gain the same approval when we go through the accreditation process in early 2017.’’
