LDRA Honors Successes of India Office - LDRA Technology Private Limited celebrates first year
LDRA, the leading provider of automated software verification, source code analysis and test tools, celebrates the first anniversary of the launch of a local office in Bangalore, India. Building on LDRA’s 35 years in best-practice programming, certification and testing, LDRA India has developed contracts with India’s defense, aerospace, nuclear and other government-owned public sector industries.
WorkThrough a series of educational seminars, LDRA India has successfully educated programmers, designers and verification teams on the importance of incorporating better-quality practices into their product development. Testing services and partner training programs have enabled local companies to meet their certification requirements and contribute to industry development.
“In just one year, LDRA India has achieved quite a number of successes,” commended Ian Hennell, LDRA Operations Director. “With educational programs throughout the country, the India office has taken the LDRA message of best-practice programming to our clients, not only teaching them how to use the LDRA tool suite more efficiently, but also ensuring they are well-equipped to design and develop software for stringent verification.”
Working with technology partners, LDRA India has automated test processes, seamlessly integrating with other design and development tools already in the client’s tool chain. Thanks to LDRA’s strong distributed capabilities, companies have been able to embrace a comprehensive corporate certification strategy. Code developed in India is automatically part of the overall requirements traceability, analysis and verification needed for the overall system, regardless of whether the OEM is based in the United States, Europe or India.
“Studies indicate a strong correlation between software quality and solid corporate profitability,” added Hennell. “LDRA brings this level of global competency to local developers who are seeking the automated software test and requirements traceability that LDRA has become known for across all of their development centres, whether at home or abroad.”
Local experts in standards, such as IEC 61508, DO-178B, IEC 62304, ISO 26262, MISRA C, MISRA C++, CERT C, etc., have also drafted articles showing how to implement these standards into software development processes. Several of these articles have been published in American, British, German and local publications.
Operations and Sales Director Shinto Joseph, a seasoned veteran in critical software development, directs the LDRA office in India. Joseph will continue to develop the market in India as well as build the local research and development, sales and support teams. Thanks to the high caliber of the India team, they are already playing a significant role in LDRA’s global business structure.
LDRA India will offer a series of technology seminars on aerospace, nuclear and defense best practices and certification focused on issues relevant to India development starting the week of 5 September 2011. This series will be followed by technology trend seminars for medical, rail, automotive and security domains in Q4 of 2011
