Laird Technologies, Inc., a global leader in the design and supply of customized performance-critical components and systems for advanced electronics and wireless products, today announced it will be attending the Embedded Systems Conference (ESC) 2010 Boston trade show. The trade show is being held at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, Massachusetts, September 20-23, 2010. Laird Technologies can be found at booth #924.
Laird Technologies will display its complete line of wireless embedded modules, focusing on solutions for high-end audio and multimedia markets. These modules are available fully certified, and are simple to setup with easy-to use ATtention (AT) commands and application programming interfaces (APIs). The exhibition team will also show some new and upcoming products, including the LT1110 Low-Power 900Mhz Frequency Hopping module. The LT1110 Low-Power 900Mhz Frequency Hopping module is one of the lowest power frequency-hopping spread spectrum (FHSS) modules available. It provides a simple-to-use serial cable replacement for point-to-point and point-to-multipoint applications, and is specifically suited for battery operated hand-held solutions.

The team will also conduct a product demonstration highlighting the implementation of CSR's apt-X® high-performance audio coding technology on the Bluetooth® BTM511 wireless stereo audio module. Licensed by CSR plc to electronics OEMs operating in the broadcast, consumer and professional audio markets, CSR’s apt-X® audio coding technology enables the wireless streaming of fully transparent “wired quality” stereo audio over Bluetooth connectivity. Thanks to non-destructive coding techniques, CSR’s apt-X® ensures that both the quality and integrity of the original stereo material – sourced from any audio format, be that compressed (MP3, AAC, FLAC) or uncompressed (CD, analog) – will be preserved over a Bluetooth A2DP link.

“Laird Technologies is excited to once again exhibit at ESC 2010 Boston,” said Chris Downey, Laird Technologies Product Manager, Telematics & Wireless M2M. “ESC 2010 Boston provides a great opportunity for embedded designers to experience the latest cutting edge wireless technology, and to gain an understanding of how a modular solution can be quickly implemented in their products.”

Entering into its 18th year in Boston, ESC brings together the largest community of system architects, design engineers, suppliers, analysts and media from across the globe, including Asia and the Pacific Rim. With 4,200+ total attendees, it’s the fastest growing annual engineering event in America, providing attendees with an unsurpassed opportunity to find the solutions they need to their design challenges. Participating in ESC allows attendees to meet with customers, renew relationships, sell to prospects, have press meetings, make announcements, and talk to partners – all in one place and in just three days.
