Kulicke & Soffa to acquire Assembléon for $98m
Kulicke and Soffa has announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire a 100% equity stake of Assembléon, in an all cash transaction for $98m. Assembléon is a technology solutions provider, offering assembly equipment, processes and services to the automotive, industrial, and advanced packaging markets.
Assembléon’s revenue for calendar year 2014 is currently anticipated to be approximately $90m. Singapore-based Kulicke & Soffa intends to close this acquisition by 15th January 2015, and expects the transaction to be accretive within the first year.
