JAE has been certified by the Japanese Quality Association (JQA) to ISO/TS 16949. This standard is awarded to automotive manufacturers that adhere to a range of strict technical specifications within design, development, production and installation. It aligns several national quality system standards and is designed to ensure customers receive products of consistently high quality.
ISO/TS 16949 was developed by the International Automotive Task Force (IATF) to encourage improvement of automotive suppliers. In order to attain it, JAE underwent 18 months of preparations and an intensive multi-site assessment. Regular audits will continue to ensure that the standards are fully met.

The certification will enable JAE to directly supply high quality products to major automotive companies including Volvo, Jaguar, Ford Motor Company and DaimlerChrysler.

“We are delighted to have achieved what is the ‘gold standard’ of the automotive industry”, said Craig Cartmell, JAE Europe’s Quality Manager. “This will significantly increase sales opportunities for JAE globally.”
