ITI presents trend-setting CAE solutions at the Hannover Messe 2011

ITI today announces its presence on the Hannover Messe from April 4 to 8, 2011. Being a pioneer in the field of modeling, simulation and analysis as well as virtual testing of complete technical systems ITI presents the latest developments in its standard simulation tool SimulationX.
The audience gets an exclusive preview on the new features of the upcoming SimulationX version 3.5. Furthermore visitors may experience live how technical systems can be developed in a process-integrated, resource- and energy-efficient way using virtual prototypes. The ITI presentations are going focus on the overall system development, functional system design and analysis, modeling and simulation, as well as virtual test.



ITI exhibits on the Hannover Messe already for the 18th time. In the Digital Factory ITI presents CAE solutions for modeling, simulation and evaluation of modern technical systems. The ITI simulation solutions are applied across all core industries in innovative industrial technologies ranging from power transmission and power engineering over planning of power stations through to the development of hybrid systems and the design of electrical motors.



At the ITI booth visitors experience how to simulate physical-technical systems easily and reliably. By means of industry-specific models visitors can learn how subsystems in mechanics, power transmission, hydraulics, pneumatics, thermic, thermodynamics, electronics, electro-mechanics, magnetics and controls are comfortably adapted to each other already in pre-development using SimulationX. Experienced ITI engineers are going to demonstrate how to



• efficiently analyze control structures, driving strategies or energy-efficiency with the new automotive hybrid drives library

• evaluate different drive concepts with virtual prototypes regarding energy-efficiency and emissions using the considerably enhanced power evaluation and balancing

• comfortably model and analyze planar mechanisms in technical systems such as watch movements, locks, linkages and belt drives with the 2D mechanics library

• efficiently model non-linear drive systems with the new library for Torsional Vibration Analysis (TVA)

• support Hardware-in-the-Loop applications in the field of thermodynamics and simulate models even faster due to an enhanced Thermal Fluid library

• analyze and evaluate energy flows and efficiency of individual co-generation system components and develop optimized control strategies

• develop simulation-based electric concepts in the field of automotive and machinery by means of new induction motor models in the electro-mechanics libraries



Another highlight of the Hannover Messe is the preview to the upcoming version SimulationX 3.5. This new release features considerably enhanced functions of result visualization and evaluation. New integrated post-processing features enable the computation of further results by combinations and transformations of existing results. Numerous navigation and search functions improve result handling and clarity. Extensive set-up opportunities can be combined in layouts and can be easily re-used. Using hardware acceleration even large data sets can be examined quickly.



The SimulationX 3D view so far has been used mainly for result visualization. Starting from SimulationX 3.5 models can now be created directly and graphically interactively in the 3D view. This intuitive method speeds up model development and is even more fun compared to the previous procedures. Components can be imported from common CAD programs too. In order to meet all quality and performance demands the 3D view can be individually configured.
