iSLI to Provide Course on Digital Test Technology and DFT in Bath
The Institute for System Level Integration, iSLI, is to host a course on Digital Test Technology and DFT at the Bath Innovation Centre on 6th-9th May 2008. This is the 3rd iSLI course to be made available in Bath following a collaborative agreement with Silicon South West, the networking organisation for the largest chip design cluster in Europe, last year.
The
course content will be presented by Guy Perry, Founder and President of Soft Test Inc., the well-known semiconductor test engineering firm. Guy has over 30 years of experience in the semiconductor test industry and has developed test software for a wide variety of circuit designs. Covering ATE system architecture and functionality, the course explains the terminology used to describe semiconductor testing. DC, AC and Functional tests are explained in detail and the advantages and disadvantages of various test methods are discussed. The course provides information on device characterisation, yield analysis, debug techniques, datalogs and shmoo plots. Proper programming practices that minimise test times and ensure test integrity will be taught alongside safe, reliable test sequences.
Aimed at Test, Product and Yield Enhancement Engineers, Design Engineers, Engineering Managers, Sales Engineers, Field Sales Engineers and Maintenance Technicians, the course is recommended as a starting point for all Engineers, both digital and mixed signal.
