iSLI to accept Mentor Graphics tokens for CPD Courses Press Release

Although CPD courses have been running at iSLI for several years, this is the first time that they will be offered in conjunction with the Mentor Passbook Scheme. Passbooks are part of an annual training plan available to engineers through Mentor. The training needs of the individual are assessed by Mentor, who then estimate the volume of tokens necessary to achieve a desired goal. Tokens are pre-purchased and for iSLI courses, are equivalent to 1 student per class per day. Tony Harker, CEO at iSLI comments, “This collaboration (the latest in a series of agreements between the two companies) will help provide focused training solutions to the micro-electronics design community, enabling Mentor’s customers to take part in the scheme which is ultimately aimed at developing and maintaining skills necessary for future success”.

iSLI is offering E-Learning MSc Modules, E-Learning Analogue CMOS CPD Modules and Continuing Professional Development Courses through the scheme. Courses will be held at iSLI’s Alba Campus in Livingston, Scotland and the Bath Innovation Centre in the South West. The course materials for the E-Learning Modules will be delivered via the internet, allowing students to accommodate the work required to develop skills around their existing employment and personal commitments.
