QuickLogic is showcasing the design flexibility that is enabled by its Customer Specific Standard Product (CSSP) technology during CES, by showing real-life OEM/ODM products and demonstration systems. Some of the consumer and prosumer products on display include:
Wireless Hard Disk Drive:

A QuickLogic CSSP, based on the PolarPro solution platform, provides a high speed P-ATA controller that enables this pocket-sized media server to stream multimedia content to/from the internal small form factor HDD and an 802.11g or Bluetooth 2.x + EDR enabled CE device.

Enterprise Personal Digital Assistant:

A QuickLogic CSSP, based on the ArcticLink solution platform, provides high speed USB 2.0 OTG for data synchronization and for connectivity to an external keyboard/mouse, as well as a CompactFlash interface to support existing peripherals such as scanners, printers, GPS modules, data acquisition cards and wireless data cards.

Portable Navigation Device:

Two PNDs will be showcased, both enabled by QuickLogic CSSPs based on the PolarPro solution platform. The first CSSP enables MP3 playback and high speed map download functionality by providing high performance access to a 1.8 inch P-ATA HDD. As an integral part of QuickLogic's storage solution portfolio, the second CSSP enables connectivity to SD and MMC-based Managed NAND, as well as providing boot functionality for removing the need for NOR flash from the system - saving critical BOM cost and PCB space in the high volume CE device.

3G Wireless Data Card:

QuickLogic's CSSP provided the necessary interface and control to connect the 3G High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) chipset to the PCMCIA slot on a laptop/notebook within the specified power limits.

Ultra Mobile PC (UMPC) / Ultra Mobile Device (UMD) / Mobile Internet Device (MID):

QuickLogic's CSSP, based on the PolarPro solution platform, enables an external display/projector/TV to be connected simultaneously with the UMPC/UMD/MID by performing the necessary X/Y Swap and frame rate conversion.

Development and reference design platforms on display will include:

3G Handset Development Platform:

QuickLogic's CSSP, based on the ArcticLink solution platform, provides high speed USB 2.0 OTG connectivity for data synchronization with devices such as PCs and laptops, as well as the high speed SDIO host controllers that support 802.11g and external SD Card support, with unique support for SD High Capacity (SDHC). Through the inherent flexibility provided by the ArcticLink solution platform, this 3G handset development platform scales to support P-ATA or CE-ATA hard disk drive storage for CE products requiring additional multimedia storage.

Portable CE Development Systems:

Two Sophia Systems SandGate III Marvell PXA Application Processor development boards with a QuickLogic daughtercard, will be showcased. These systems are used to demonstrate several solutions built from QuickLogic's proven system blocks including Boot from Managed NAND, small form factor HDD, high speed USB thumb drives and peripherals, 802.11g and high capacity flash cards (MMC and SD).

Portable Multimedia Player TV-Out Reference Design:

This reference design, jointly developed by QuickLogic and Chrontel, uses a QuickLogic CSSP based on the PolarPro solution platform, that enables an external display/projector/TV to be connected simultaneously with any portable CE device by performing the necessary X/Y Swap and frame rate conversion between a Marvell PXA application processor and a Chrontel TV encoder device.
