IAR Systems extends support across southern Europe with opening of Paris office

IAR Systems today announced the opening of its latest sales and support office in Paris. The facility extends IAR Systems product sales and technical support across France, Portugal and Spain. Claude Garcia has been appointed to run the operation. He is tasked with building new and expanding existing business relationships with distributor and partner development organizations across the region. Previously holding several senior sales and technical marketing positions at Wind River, Garcia has a BSc in electronics and a BSc in bio-medical systems. Prior roles have included field application engineering, firmware development and software engineering.

IAR Systems already has an established customer community in France, with application sectors such as home automation, medical, industrial automation and energy being particularly strong. As one of the industry's leading embedded software tool developers, with support for over 20 families of microcontrollers, IAR Systems is highly recognized by embedded software engineers around with world. The company has recently pioneered and introduced power debugging technology for embedded development and this is now incorporated within its flagship IAR Embedded Workbench.tool set. The new tools provide the capability to correlate current sampling alongside program execution, allowing analysis of the software's influence on power consumption and providing developers with the means to optimize source code to minimize power consumption.
