IAR Systems appoints CTO and Engineering Director

Petter Edman has been with IAR Systems for over 13 years, and has several years of experience in the telecom industry, having formerly worked as a team leader for Ellemtel, a R&D organization owned jointly by Ericsson and Swedish Telecom. He has a MSc in Engineering Physics, with a focus on Computer Technology, from Uppsala University.

Anders Pikas joined IAR Systems for the second time in 2005, having previously worked as a software project leader at Stoneridge Electronics, Bromma, Sweden and prior to that as a product marketing manager at Enea OSE Systems in Täby, Sweden and in Houston, Texas. From 1995 to 2000 he was a project leader in the development department at IAR Systems in Uppsala. Anders also has a MSc in Engineering Physics from Uppsala University.

“It is intended that in his new role work Petter will leverage his engineering experience to concentrate on strategic technology issues, in order that we can consolidate our position in existing markets and identify opportunities to expand into new sectors,” commented Olle Eriksson, CEO of IAR Systems. “In addition Anders brings to his new post a wealth of experience in the way our tools work from the customer’s viewpoint and how they are integrated with other software – this will be invaluable in guiding future product developments.”
