Huawei’s SingleRAN@Broad Solution to Lead CDMA Industry
Huawei, a leader in providing next-generation telecommunications network solutions for operators around the world, met with industry leaders yesterday to discuss advancements in CDMA technology at the 5th annual Global CDMA Operation & Development Forum in Shanghai. Attendees of the forum, which included leading global CDMA operators such as China Telecom, Sprint Nextel, Leap, KPN and TATA, explored the challenges and opportunities facing the CDMA industry in an era of mobile broadband.
As pHuawei' s SingleRAN@Broad solution enables CDMA operators to meet the increasing demand for mobile data services by facilitating a smooth evolution to EV-DO/LTE. SingleRAN@Broad, which offers operators precise network coverage, also significantly broadens mobile network bandwidth through improved spectrum efficiency, constructs multi-layer and seamless mobile networks for urban, indoor, and rural coverage zones, and guarantees the availability, continuity, and consistency of CDMA mobile broadband services.
Tang Xinhong, President of CDMA Product Line, Huawei, said, Huawei actively invests in CDMA research and development and is committed to driving innovation in the field. Our SingleRAN@Broad solution will create new growth opportunities for CDMA operators in terms of building their business at a time when demand for mobile data services is growing exponentially.
Huawei' s SingleRAN@Broad solution has been adopted by COX in the U.S. to deploy the world' s first CDMA/LTE multi-mode trial network, thus laying a solid foundation for the smooth evolution of CDMA to LTE. Additionally, Huawei launched the world' s first commercially-ready CDMA2000 1x EV-DO Revision B solution, which has been successfully deployed by operators such as PTCL of Pakistan, creating CDMA networks' fastest data services to date.
To date, Huawei has deployed over 120 CDMA2000 1x EV-DO networks worldwide.
