Huawei Deploys ATCA-Based CDMA Mobile Softswitch Solution for Movistar Peru
Huawei, a leader in providing next-generation telecommunications network solutions for operators around the world, together with Movistar Peru, the leading communications company in Peru, today announced the successful deployment of the ATCA (Advanced Telecom Computing Architecture)-based CDMA mobile softswitch solution in Peru. With the deployment, Movistar Peru can replace its existing traditional CDMA equipment with an All-IP core network, which will greatly simplify network construction, operation and maintenance, thus reducing capital and operating costs. This deployment represents an important milestone in Movistar's strategy to develop a high-quality All-IP network.
We aHuawei's new generation mobile softswitch is based on the open and standard ATCA platform, which is the leading solution in terms of capacity, performance, integration and reliability. As part of Huawei's All-IP convergence strategy, the solution focuses on simplifying the complexity of mobile network reconstruction and aims to meet the FMC requirements of operators. It will allow Movistar Peru to easily develop full service operations and to protect the network investment.
