Huawei Awarded EAL3 CC Security Certification Demonstrates strong commitment to and investment in the Cyber Security Assurance System

Ding Yun,Chief Products & Solutions Officer of Huawei,said: In response to increasing worldwide security threats and challenges to communication networks,Huawei has adopted the industry's most demanding security certification - Common Criteria - to ensure the security of Huawei's products. We are glad to be the first Chinese telecom company to be issued this certification. The Common Criteria certification is highly regarded because it involves an extensive,comprehensive evaluation process. This internationally recognized certification by governments and organization proves that Huawei's products follow the strictest international security standards.

Huawei has taken on the critically important issue of cyber security by establishing an open,transparent and visible company-wide security assurance framework that is dedicated to adopting feasible and effective measures to improve the security of telecoms networks and to help increase the capabilities of the industry overall.

In early 2011,Huawei published the Statement on Establishing a Global Cyber Security Assurance System. In the statement,Huawei guaranteed that its commitment to cyber security will never be outweighed by the consideration of commercial interests and vowed to constantly optimize an end-to-end cyber security assurance system,which extends to corporate policies,organizational structure,technology and business processes. In addition,Huawei reinforced the effectiveness of the cyber security assurance system by external certification and auditing from security authorities and independent third-party agencies. Thus CC certification demonstrates Huawei's commitment to comply with the most stringent security standards.
