Huawei Awarded EAL3 CC Security Certification Demonstrates strong commitment to and investment in the Cyber Security Assurance System
Huawei,a leading telecom solutions provider, today announced that it was awarded the Evaluation Assurance Level (EAL) 3 Common Criteria (CC) security certificate for its core network and router products from the National Cryptologic Centre, the certification body of the Spanish National Evaluation and Certification Outline for IT security. This certification demonstrates the reliability and security of Huawei's products and the company's commitment to and consistent investment in delivering high quality and reliable communications networks.
DingHuawei has taken on the critically important issue of cyber security by establishing an open, transparent and visible company-wide security assurance framework that is dedicated to adopting feasible and effective measures to improve the security of telecoms networks and to help increase the capabilities of the industry overall.
In early 2011,Huawei published the Statement on Establishing a Global Cyber Security Assurance System. In the statement,Huawei guaranteed that its commitment to cyber security will never be outweighed by the consideration of commercial interests and vowed to constantly optimize an end-to-end cyber security assurance system, which extends to corporate policies, organizational structure, technology and business processes. In addition,Huawei reinforced the effectiveness of the cyber security assurance system by external certification and auditing from security authorities and independent third-party agencies. Thus CC certification demonstrates Huawei's commitment to comply with the most stringent security standards.
