Hemisphere GPS Introduces VersaSteer Interface for Outback eDrive
Today from the Agri-Trade 2010 Exposition in Red Deer, Alberta, Hemisphere GPS announced its VersaSteer interface (VSi), a new electric steering wheel option for its best selling Outback eDrive automated steering system. eDriveVSi's electrically controlled steering wheel adds to the versatility and ease of automated steering as it can quickly be added to a variety of machinery including swathers (windrowers), tractors, sprayers, harvesters and more. Growers will appreciate the automated steering performance and reduced fatigue associated with eDriveVSi™.
CoupThe new eDriveVSi enhances the versatility of our automated steering product line allowing us to continue to serve an expanded Outback Guidance customer base, said Kip Pendleton, Vice President and General Manager of Agriculture at Hemisphere GPS. With eDriveVSi and our existing eDriveTC custom installation kits, we are able to automatically steer the most common farm machinery available.
eDriveVSi is currently compatible with the eDriveTC console and Outback Sts™. It will be compatible with Outback S3™ in the future. The Outback Auto-Engage feature enables eDriveVSi to automatically steer the vehicle once it approaches the next pass and the operator simply turns the steering wheel to disengage the automated steering control. eDriveVSi is delivered with an installation kit designed for your specific model. Clear, step-by-step instructions, with pictures, accompany all the right cables, connections, and brackets to do the job. No special training is required.
