HARTING has installed an EV charging point using HARTING connectivity solutions at its premises in Northampton. The charging station, manufactured by RWE Effizienz, uses vehicle charging connectors supplied by HARTING Automotive, which are available in all three globally used plug system versions (with the corresponding approvals) for the common AC charging interface.

The Type 1 plug is approved for AC in accordance with UL, CE and JET/PSE, and the Type 2 plug is also approved for AC in accordance with UL/VDE. The HARTING GB China plug fulfils the CQC standard.

Peter Hannon, Managing Director, HARTING, commented: “The E-mobility sector is becoming increasingly important for HARTING worldwide, and as an environmentally responsible employer we are happy to make this facility available to our employees and visitors. The group is experiencing a sharp increase in demand for solutions in this field, and we hope that this installation will serve as an additional reminder of HARTING’s expertise in this sector. It not only showcases our products in use but also reflects our commitment to providing environmentally friendly facilities.”
