IAR Systems is proud to announce that its technical education program IAR Academy, previously launched in Germany and Sweden, is now extended to the United States, Brazil, Japan and more countries in Europe. The increasing growth of system complexity and the market demand for high performance applications make developers want to gain competitive skills advantages in embedded development and maximize their tools investment.

By complementing its offering with a global educational program, IAR Systems provides its customers with a complete set of tools and services for simplified, seamless embedded development workflows. The powerful toolchain IAR Embedded Workbench is available for an industry-leading number of architectures and extensive technical support is available worldwide. In addition, IAR Systems supplies integrated in-circuit debugging probes and a wide selection of integrated RTOS and middleware solutions from partners. Through this unique offering, IAR Systems’ customers gain access to everything they need to improve their efficiency, shorten their time to market and reduce their costs.

IAR Academy is aimed at new as well as experienced users of the world-leading embedded development toolchain IAR Embedded Workbench. It currently includes the courses Getting started for beginners in embedded programming, Efficient programming for experienced developers, and Advanced debugging for experienced developers. All courses provide a combination of expert-led lectures and workshop exercises. Additional course topics, including a getting started course focused on the state-machine tools IAR visualSTATE, will be added to the schedule later this year. In addition to the scheduled courses, IAR Academy provides customized trainings based on specific customers’ needs.

“We started IAR Academy because we saw an increasing demand from our customers wanting to improve their efficiency by getting in-depth knowledge in embedded development. Since the start, we have received a lot of positive feedback from participants at our courses, but also many request for courses in other countries and regions. We are responding to these requests with an extended schedule and a major increase in course locations,” comments Andreas Wallberg, IAR Academy Product Manager.
