Freescale names David M. Uze as new vice president and general manager of Japan
Freescale Semiconductor today announced David M. Uze as its new vice president and general manager of Japan. Mr. Uze will be responsible for growing Freescale’s business in Japan as the regional sales and marketing leader and managing the operation of Freescale Japan.
FormJapan is a key market for our company and represents a tremendous opportunity for growth, said Henri Richard, Freescale senior vice president and chief sales and marketing officer. David will be a key addition to Freescale as we strengthen our presence in this strategic region.
Prior to his role leading EZ-PC Corporation, Mr. Uze served in several senior leadership roles in both the U.S. and Japan. At Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), he served as president of AMD Japan where he was instrumental in growing AMD’s business with key Japanese manufacturers. Prior to AMD, Mr. Uze was at Dell, where he managed the company’s portfolio of Fortune 1000 accounts as general manager and helped adapt Dell’s offerings to the specific requirements of the Japanese market.
Mr. Uze received a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Iowa and participated in an intensive Japanese business and language program at Nanzan University in Japan.
