FCT Assembly announces that it received an appreciation award during a dinner ceremony hosted by Nihon Superior Co. Ltd. on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 during the IPC APEX EXPO in Las Vegas.
The award was presented to President Mike Scimeca by Nihon Superior’s President Tetsuro Nishimura in appreciation of FCT Assembly’s valuable and continuous support of SN100C globally.

FCT Assembly has been working with Nihon Superior since 2002, and was the first company to distribute SN100C in North America.

“We are pleased that our support is recognized and I am honored to accept acknowledgement from Nihon Superior’s President Tetsuro Nishimura,” said Scimeca. “FCT Assembly is delighted to be the first licensees in North America and we look forward to the continued growth of Nihon Superior’s SN100C lead-free alloy.”

Scimeca believes that SN100C’s success is based on sound technology and innovation. Also instrumental in its success, he adds, is Nihon Superior’s approach of picking only a select group of licensees that have been able to break through the barrier of a new lead-free alloy as opposed to licensing any and all interested companies.

SN100C Bar Solder is used in thousands of wave soldering machines around the world and has proven its reliability in products exposed to the most severe service environments. Key features include low drossing, low copper erosion, shiny finish, easiest maintenance of all lead-free alloys and joint reliability at least equal to that of Sn63/Pb37. Additionally, more than 1.5 billion products have been assembled using SN100C with no known defects
