At this year’s VISION show in Stuttgart, Sony Europe’s Image Sensing Solutions Division will be unveiling a number of new digital machine vision cameras, including three IEEE1394.b modules, a high-end Camera Link model and a new generation of its successful Smart Camera range.
The
highlight will be Sony’s new XCD-U100/CR B&W and raw colour camera modules with UXGA resolution at 15 fps, offering Sony CCD technology for incomparable image quality and superb build quality. The XCD-U100/CR forms the cornerstone of Sony’s new family of IEEE1394.b CCD digital camera modules that will range from VGA to UXGA resolutions, 15 to 90 frames per second, and offer both colour and black & white configuration options. Sony’s heritage in IEEE1394 technology dates back to 1994, and the latest products make the most of the IEEE1394.b standard which features high bandwidth, multi camera capabilities and the flexibility to realise complex, long cable configurations.
At VISION 2007 Sony will also present the full line up of analogue cameras and give a status update regarding the Sony Vision Network which has been growing with the recent addition of software developers, value added resellers and peripheral partners.
