Eurotech Powered SENSUSS Application Recognized as a 2013 Computerworld Honors Laureate
Eurotech and SENSUSS today announces IDG’s Computerworld Honors Program has named SENUSSS as a 2013 Laureate. The annual award program honors visionary applications of information technology promoting positive social, economic and educational change.
“TSENSUSS is developing a portfolio of products that provide immediate information about impact levels that an athlete has sustained during participation. This product, the “S3”, is a device that monitors impacts and captures that data; it then uses M2M to transmit and store that data, and through cloud based applications provides real time assessments that protect the athlete from further potential harm.
John Grazioli, SENSUSS President said, “We are at an exciting time for the merging of M2M applications and sensor technologies. The future highlights numerous upcoming sensor advancements and a substantial infrastructure created in the cloud to do amazing things with sensor data. Along with our partners, Eurotech and Avnet, we are poised to lead this emerging market and together share a commitment to provide social value with our products. This prestigious award from Computerworld further amplifies the importance of this technology and validates our teams' commitment to protect you.”
“SENSUSS had a great product idea and knew it needed to be combined with current M2M and cloud technology for better, faster delivery of the data,” said Greg Nicoloso, Eurotech CEO for North America. “By connecting their helmet sensors to the Everyware Cloud, coaches, doctors and parents can find out about potentially harmful hits immediately and even compare the data to previous hits or specific medical issues the athlete may have. We look forward to supporting this innovative healthcare application as it begins to proliferate in the market.”
The Computerworld Honors Program awards will be presented at the Gala Evening and Awards Ceremony on June 3, 2013 at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington, D.C.
