EC-funded PhD energy research opportunities

Research opportunities will be available in a wide range of energy related topics, including rain energy harvesting, photovoltaic technologies, polymer nanocomposites for thermal energy storage systems and cement-based composites reducing the embodied energy of civil infrastructures.

The DTA3/COFUND project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement No 801604. The funding will support researchers' training, mobility and career development and is closely aligned to the Government’s industrial strategy, enabling graduates to learn from and share their knowledge and expertise with industry.

Professor John Senior, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research and Enterprise) at the University of Hertfordshire, said: “We are delighted to be part of the DTA3/COFUND consortium which will allow the University to continue to compete in today’s fast-paced knowledge economy.
