Device to cloud connectivity on show at Device Developers' Conference
At this year's UK Device Developers' Conference, Eurotech will be a lead sponsor and presenter. The company will exhibit their latest technology and make a presentation exploring whether proprietary board formats really do lead to vendor independence and explaining how developers can expand the scope and value of hardware through the use of cloud technology.
"One of the most important aspects of the "Internet of Things" vision is that smart objects communicate effectively with each other and with applications residing in data centres or the cloud. This part of the presentation will explore the technical building blocks required to build a distributed, scalable, secure and managed system of devices and sensors that effectively interconnects with device infrastructure," comments Tim Taberner, Product Strategy Manager, Eurotech.
The UK Device Developers' Conference is a one-day conference for computer scientists and electronic engineers that work in the development of intelligent systems and devices. Comprised of technical workshops, presentations and an exhibition, the event covers four dates and four locations: starting in Bristol on Tuesday 20th May, the event will then visit Cambridge (22nd May), Manchester (3rd June) and Scotland (5th June). It is an important opportunity for engineers and vendors to share knowledge and explore new technologies. The exhibition and conference, including the agenda of 40-minute technical presentations are free to attend for engineers and technical managers, but there is a small charge of £75 for the half day workshops.
Richard Blackburn, Conference Manager, commented: “We are very pleased to have Eurotech on board. Hardware continues to develop at quite a pace, so it will be good to have the Eurotech team’s extensive knowledge and experience available to delegates. I am confident that their presentation will attract a broad audience, it’s a hot topic at the moment.”
