Delphi Expands Global Service Network, Opens First Service Centre in Africa
Delphi Automotive opened its first Delphi Service Centre (DSC) in Africa and will expand to 20 DSCs including neighbouring island, La Réunion, by the end of 2012. The first centre is located in Port Louis, Mauritius, and features two areas of specialization including technical service and repair on petrol engine management, diesel and air conditioning systems, and mechanical service and repair on braking, and steering and suspension systems.
WithThis is an important milestone for Delphi, said Gaël Escribe, vice president, independent aftermarket, Delphi Product & Service Solutions, Europe, Middle East and Africa. Our focus on service network expansion provides our African customers an opportunity to grow their business through the products and services Delphi delivers. We look forward to increasing the network range and further penetration of the African market with our valued customers.
Distributors on both islands worked closely with Delphi to develop the first DSC and planned further expansion centres to provide an alternative to consumers when servicing their vehicles.
Delphi will also provide comprehensive marketing support to help the DSC establish and grow their business. Marketing support includes point of sale and promotional materials, merchandise, signage, banners, literature and radio advertisements.
To date, there are more than 1,000 DSCs in 17 countries around the globe. Garages within the Delphi network can choose up to four service and repair modules, providing owners everything they need to deliver reliable and cost effective vehicle service, maintenance and repair to their customers.
