CST Interview Series Spotlight On University Research
Computer Simulation Technology announce a series of interviews highlighting the groundbreaking research carried out by previous winners of the CST University Publication Award. 2013 marks the 10th anniversary of the CST University Publication Award, and to celebrate, CST has invited past winners, along with some of their university co-operation partners, to discuss their work with us.
UnivThe series began with an interview with Xiaodong Chen, Professor of Microwave Engineering at Queen Mary, University of London, who explained how his research group used CST MICROWAVE STUDIO to design an innovative antenna for an experimental mini-satellite.
The second interview, with Dr Maciej Klemm, was released this week. Dr Klemm has won the CST University Publication Award on two occasions, in 2006 and 2010. He spoke about his work at the University of Bristol, particularly the development of a UWB radar system for breast cancer imaging and other medical applications.
Research is a cornerstone of the modern world, and CST is proud that our software is used in universities and laboratories worldwide. The Award demonstrates the strong relationship with academia and the ongoing interview series showcases the importance of this partnership to support the research projects of university institutes.
The interview series will be published on the CST blog (cst-simulation.blogspot.com) throughout the year and distributed through social networks. The next interview, due to be released in the forthcoming weeks, will be with Dr Prashanth Kumar of the University of New Mexico, who won the Award in 2011 as part of a team developing a lens for delivering electromagnetic pulses for medical imaging.
