COPA-DATA calls for more SMEs to work with charities

Follow Your Dreams is a national charity operating in England and Wales. The charity provides children and young people with opportunities to grow and develop skills through the delivery of creative and interactive events and workshops. As opposed to simply sponsoring the charity, COPA-DATA is currently in the process of supporting the volunteers at varying clubs and events as well as preparing to attend several established fundraisers for the coming year.

COPA-DATA plans to donate more than just money to the charity. The company will also contribute other resources and time to the cause. Already, the COPA-DATA team have joined the charity for the Owens Dream Charity ball, in order to raise funds and celebrate the support that Owens Group, warehousing and distribution leaders, has recently provided to Follow Your Dreams. As well as attending fundraising events, COPA-DATA team members will be joining Follow Your Dreams each week to assist with its Monday evening tech club.

“I first discovered Follow Your Dreams at a 4networking event,” explained Emma Churches, Office manager, COPA-DATA UK. “Right from the start, I knew that they were the kind of charity we, at COPA-DATA, could all relate to and with work.

“The FYD team’s enthusiasm and determination was made even more evident in their Owens Dream Charity ball, which was a great success and thoroughly enjoyed by all.”

Established in 2004, Follow Your Dreams went through some turbulent times before it’s restructure in 2012. Since then, the charity has grown and the COPA-DATA team are keen to help fortify this continued success.
