Huawei Showcases Industry's Highest-Performance Data Center Switch at Interop Las Vegas 2012
Huawei will be showcasing its next-generation data center switches, CloudEngine 12800, at Interop Las Vegas. With the industry's largest switching capacity and highest performance, the CloudEngine series provide a better way for global enterprises to tap into the opportunities presented by the rise of cloud computing and ICT convergence.
In aAs one of the leading business technology events, Interop is an important platform for us to showcase our advanced products and expand our business globally, said William Xu, CEO of Huawei Enterprise Business Group. We are excited to introduce the CloudEngine 12800, Huawei's latest data center switches that provide the industry’s highest performance and help customers build scalable, virtualized and converged data canter networks in the cloud computing era.
Huawei will conduct demonstrations on its innovations and capabilities in IP infrastructure, unified communications and collaboration, data center and cloud computing solutions at the show. Key highlights at Interop include:
-Industry's Highest-performance Next-generation Data Center Switches – CloudEngine 12800 series core switches provide large switching capacity of up to 48Tbps, three times the highest level currently available in the market, and bandwidth of 2Tbps per slot which is four times the industry‘s highest level. The CloudEngine 12800 series core switches and the CloudEngine 5800/6800 Top-of-Rack (TOR) switches support high-density connectivity for 100GE, 40GE, 10GE and GE interfaces, as well as network virtualization and computing, storage and network convergence. The CloudEngine series can support evolution of four generations of servers over a 10 year span, helping customers build a sustainable center network infrastructure with long-term stability.
-Advanced Full-view Telepresence – The industry’s first full-view telepresence system, Huawei's next-generation Telepresence solution features the smallest screen gap (5.5mm) for stunning full-picture image display to provide users with the most immersive experience. New innovations also make bandwidth, power and space consumption significantly lower than industry average, cutting down the total cost of ownership (TCO) by 30%. By the end of 2011, Huawei had shipped over 2,100 Telepresence systems globally, and is the world’s second largest provider by shipments according to Frost & Sullivan's market data.
As one of Interop's core network providers, Huawei built a highly reliable campus network for the show. With security features designed throughout for control, management, user, business and applications, as well as the use of real-time monitoring and management provided by the next-generation enterprise O&M solution eSight, Huawei’s campus network powers networking connectivity for over 350 exhibitors and over 15,000 attendees at Interop. This provides secure and stable access to the wired/wireless connectivity for IP voice, video and data services.
Leveraging our deep expertise in cloud computing and ICT convergence, Huawei Enterprise is uniquely positioned to provide a better way forward for enterprise organizations, said David He, President of Marketing, Huawei Enterprise. Through our win-win business model, we aim to realize returns on investment and success for our customers, partners and Huawei, while building a conductive industry ecosystem for sustainable development.
Huawei is located at Booth 1139 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. Interop Spring 2012 is held from May 6 to 10, 2012, in Las Vegas, USA.
