Blue-chip names set for June RF/Wireless Forums
Top names from the component supplier and distribution sectors are lined up to sponsor and present at motiv8’s RF & Wireless Design Forum at the Williams F1 Conference Centre near Oxford on June 7 and at the Moller Centre in Cambridge on June 14. Both events will include coverage of IoT, M2M and wearables technology.
Digi-Key, Future Electronics, EBV Elektronik Avnet Abacus, Acal BFi and Microlease will all be on parade, supported by top notch suppliers including Texas Instruments, Murata, On Semiconductor, Cambridge Wireless, Wurth Elektronik and Coilcraft.
The sponsors who will participate in a table top exhibition include blue chip names such as Texas Instruments, Murata, Digi-Key, Future Electronics, Avnet Abacus and Wurth Elektronik.
The morning conference session at the Oxford event kicks off with Ian Greenshields - RF & Wireless Application Engineer at EBV Elektronik presenting on the Sigfox (LpWAN) Low power Wide Area Network for the Internet of Things. This is an Introduction to Sigfox and explanation of why it is an ideal IOT network providing connectivity from sensors to the cloud. The presentation includes an overview of Sigfox solutions available from EBV Elektronik.
Future Electronics will present on a Secure Wireless Sensor Node. Wireless power and its applications is the title of Wurth Elektronik’s presentation.
Brian Collins from BCS Associates will discuss Design for RF Performance.
He is followed by a speaker from Texas Instruments who will talk on Developing Ultra-low Power, City Wide Long Range Sensor Networks. It will cover a variety of topics encompassing a Low Power Wireless SOC Overview - Use-cases, Dedicated software solutions, Software solutions overview, TI-RTOS, TI-MAC & Contiki, Sensor Controller Engine and Studio, Range Test firmware, Tools, SmartRF Studio.
In the afternoon attention turns to a series of Workshops.
Ian Greenshields from EBV will lead a technical design discussion and demonstration of Sigfox.
Future Electronics will host a workshop titled Secure Wireless Sensor Node - LoRaWAN Private and Public Infrastructure for IoT.
Wurth Elektronik will guide delegates on Where to begin with wireless power.
At the Cambridge-based Forum, the conference features Andy Sellars from Innovate UK speaking on Support and Funding for Innovation within RF & Wireless.
Flavio Sestagalli, Technical Manager at Coilcraft will present on Inductors as RF Chokes and Siretta will discuss Improving the Reliability of M2M and IoT systems. Overcoming the Challenges of Wi-Fi Enabling Your Product is the title of a presentation by Acal BFi.
Texas Instruments will reprise its Oxford presentation on Developing Ultra-low Power, City Wide Long Range Sensor Networks.
Siretta and Acal BFi will both host workshops at the Cambridge Forum.
At these events Motiv8 will issue a Certificate of Attendance for delegates between the core times of 10am to 3pm.
At both forums delegates get breakfast, lunch and refreshments. To register go to http://motiv8forums.com/june-7th-rf--wireless-oxford-open.html
