C-MAC MicroTechnology named first ever winner of prestigious subcontractor award
C-MAC is the first supplier to achieve the Gold standard, having successfully met BAE Systems’ rigorous criteria over a sustained period. The BAE Systems awards are made twice yearly and the requirements for Gold were met by building on the results achieved to attain the Bronze standard early in 2010 and Silver towards the end. This award stems from the supply chain initiative launched by BAE Systems in 2008 and covers four assessment categories: Relationship management; Project management; Critical milestones and joint actions; and Process KPIs (Key Performance Indicators). The assessment methodology implemented by BAE Systems follows the aerospace industry’s SC21 supply chain development principles.
ThisStacey Dighton, Procurement Manager, Platform Solutions for BAE Systems said: “BAE Systems, Rochester, has had a business relationship with C-MAC for many years, and we have always seen C-MAC as a supplier that meets its commitments. This award recognises the strength in that business relationship as well as recognising a shared success in ensuring we collectively achieve our core Key Performance Indicators.”
Karen Oddey, CEO, C-MAC Aerospace & Defence, commented; “This award is testament to the commitment both organisations have put into this C-MAC and BAE Systems partnership. It reinforces the high level of performance delivered by everyone working in the supply chain of both companies. The C-MAC team has demonstrated its dedication to the highest levels of business performance and maximising customer satisfaction. We are thrilled to be receiving this award and look forward to maintaining our Gold standard.”
