Laird exhibit safety solutions at APCO Conference & Expo
Laird Technologies has today announced that it will attend the APCO International 79th Annual Conference & Expo, to be held at the Anaheim Convention Centre in Anaheim, California, August 18-21, 2013. From booth #1529, Laird will showcase solutions for the Public Safety industry, including two recently released products: the elastomer spring for whip antennas and a UHF Wideband Whip Antenna.
Thanks to its EPDM rubber body, the elastomer spring for whip antennas provides increased flexibility and better shape retention. It also reduces electronic and road noise when compared to stainless steel springs. The whip antennas will continue to maintain all of the features that make them unique, such as stainless steel whips, housings constructed with ABS material injection molded around a solid brass insert, and gold plated push pin contacts. Together, the mobile coil antenna and elastomer spring, make Laird Technologies the obvious choice for quality and long lasting value for demanding mobile radio communications.
“Laird is an industry leader in providing mobile radio antenna solutions for police, fire, EMS and other first responders,” said Rob Antonio, product manager for Laird. “Our solutions are reliable and ensure maximum performance for situations where it matters most. The APCO event provides an excellent opportunity to showcase these new products and our capabilities for the public safety industry as a whole.”
Easing interoperability issues, the B3803W UHF Wideband Whip Antenna is a high-performance coil whip antenna which maintains antenna performance. Featuring 3 dBi of gain, the antenna covers the full UHF band from 380 – 520 MHz.
