Asiamold expects an Exhibitor Participation Increase of 25% for 2012

Asiamold, the Guangzhou International Mould & Die Exhibition, is expected to open this year with an even higher turnout than last year’s show. The 2012 fair, to be held from 19 – 21 September at the Poly World Trade Centre Expo, Guangzhou, China, is expecting 400 exhibitors, a 25% increase from the 2011 show.
Occupying 20,000 sqm of exhibition space across two halls, the fair will offer the latest mould and die solutions to manufacturers and showcase the latest developments in technology for the sector.

Mr Louis Leung, Deputy General Manager, Guangzhou Guangya Messe Frankfurt Co Ltd remarked: “We’re seeing increasing growth from both domestic and international exhibitors at Asiamold. This year, domestic exhibitor participation is expected to increase by 19% and overseas exhibitors will increase by 5%. Approximately 19,000 visitors are anticipated, with overseas visitors accounting for up to 15%. Currently 12 countries and regions will be represented at the 2012 show, including Austria, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Israel, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Sweden, Taiwan and the US.”

National and regional pavilions make a stronger return this year

Compared to last year, the 2012 show has received higher interest in national and regional pavilion participation. This year, the show will host pavilions from China, Europe, Hong Kong and Japan.
The Japanese pavilion, co-organised by the Intermold Development Association and the Japan Die & Mold Industry Association, will showcase several Japanese leading firms in the design, manufacture and application of mould technology with the following specialties:

• Stamping dies – Kuroda Precision Industries Ltd, Showa Precision Tools Co Ltd and Suzuki Co Ltd
• Plastic moulds – M.I.Molde Co Ltd, Nagatsu Precision Mold Co Ltd and Nagoya Precision Mold Co Ltd
• Precision tools – MINITOR Co Ltd

The Euromold pavilion, organised by DEMAT GmbH with 1,000 sqm, will incorporate renowned brands such as Dongguan Schmolz + Bickenbach Co Ltd, Faro Technologies Inc and Schmiedewerke Gröditz GmbH.

The pavilion organised by the Guangzhou Die & Mould Industry Association will offer visitors a chance to view some of China’s leading manufacturers in mould-making and metal product design, including Guangzhou Shenghui Metal Products Co Ltd, Shenzhen Xinmao Industry Co Ltd and Guangzhou Xiangling Metal Product Co Ltd. And for the Hong Kong pavilion, the Federation of Innovative Technologies and Manufacturing Industries will showcase innovative technologies, advanced manufacturing technologies, and the application of advanced materials from its 10 trade and industry association members.

Confirmed fringe programmes will enrich fair experience for all

To maximise opportunities for the fair’s attendees, Asiamold 2012 will host a series of fringe programmes throughout the three-day event. Programmes include:

• Agora – A highly coveted forum where industry experts from the Hong Kong Federation of Innovative Technologies and Manufacturing Industries, Verband Deutscher Industrie Designer e.V. and the Japan Die & Mold Industry Association will address key manufacturing issues and procurement needs. The forum will also include technology presentation seminars and interactive sessions for exhibitors and visitors to communicate.

• The 2nd Asiamold Global Mold Making Technology Innovation Summit – Organised by Messe Frankfurt and Shanghai Ringier Exhibition Ltd, the summit will feature the latest trends within the moulding industry as well as current manufacturing processes, design and application. Over 200 technicians and decision makers are expected to attend the event, held on 20 September 2012.

• Factory visit – Several manufacturers across Dongguan, Guangzhou and Shenzhen have signed up to offer tours of their respective factories between 20 and 21 September 2012. Participating companies include EVA Mould, Honda, Jingliren Tool & Die Co Ltd, PE Industrial Group, Shenzhen Meinie Tool & Die Co Ltd and Xinyong Xu Metal & Die (Shenzhen) Co Ltd.

• Business matchmaking – Messe Frankfurt has partnered with www.socialwalk.com to provide both exhibitors and visitors with a seamless ability to link up with potential business partners. Exhibitors and visitors are able to make connections and schedule meetings with target individuals in one place.
