App is redesigned to enhance functionality
MYZONE announces a major redesign of its smartphone app with a radically improved, more intuitive user interface and vastly increased feature set. The new GUI and features are designed to make using MYZONE, the unique wearable training system that rewards effort, easier and more enjoyable than ever. The enhancements include automatic connectivity to the MZ-3 heart rate belt when you start training, a clearer analysis of workouts and greater interaction with friends.
It also incorporates the ability to stream music while working out, post pictures and chat privately with other users. Central to the improved interface is a new home button, giving speedy access to your newsfeed, social connections, workout data and challenges you’re currently undertaking.
Top features include the option to pick music through your preferred streaming service, like Spotify or Apple Music while staying within the app, and an Instagram-style picture feed for sharing images relating to your workout or a group challenge. You can also comment on pictures posted by friends.
A WhatsApp-style group messaging platform has been added so you can chat privately with friends taking part in the same challenge, or in the same sports team, gym class or running club.
One-tap access to your current MEP status (MYZONE Effort Points), including how close you are to reaching your monthly target in line with the World Health Organisation’s guidelines for physical activity, has also made it more straightforward to keep tabs on your progress.
Finally, a simplified inbox for notifications, a search facility for finding friends and an easy-view activity calendar of your daily workouts complete the comprehensive upgrade.
The app, which is also compatible with selected smart watches, sports GPS watches and platforms such as Strava and MapMyRun, completes a new product line-up unveiled at London’s Wearable Tech Show, consisting of a men’s compression vest and women’s sports bra with integrated technology.
