ANSYS Introduces Low Frequency Electromagnetic Simulation with Maxwell
This seminar aims to demonstrate the value of using modern electromagnetic simulation software to enhance the product development process, by enabling engineers to accurately predict the behaviour of electromechanical devices in a virtual environment, optimising designs without the need for physical prototypes.
Tues09:30 - 16:00
National Motorcycle Museum
Birmingham
Leading manufacturers have long recognised the contribution engineering simulation can make to achieving business objectives in terms of innovation, development / manufacturing cost, specification, quality and time to market.
This seminar will demonstrate why Maxwell has become the solution of choice for many leading companies using a range of examples of the latest simulation approaches using single physics, multi-physics and system level analysis.
Typical Applications Include:
* Motors and alternators, HEV (hybrid electric vehicle)
* Rotating and linear actuators
* Relays
* Power generators
* Transformers
* Transmission Lines
* Bus bars
* Induction heating
* Coils, permanent magnets, MRI
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
The seminar is aimed at engineers/managers/directors involved in the development of electromechanical devices.
SOLUTION OVERVIEW
Maxwell software is used for electromagnetic field analysis including magnetic transient with motion, AC electromagnetic, magnetostatic, transient electric field and electrostatic/current flow analysis. Maxwell provides high fidelity solutions for field parameters such as force, torque, capacitance, inductance, resistance and impedance, EM losses (e.g. eddy current, ohmic, dialectric, hysteresis loss etc) along with the ability to visualize electromagnetic fields. Maxwell integrates with other ANSYS modules to simulate induced thermal stresses, vibration, fa! tigue, heat transfer and electrical/electromechanical circuits over the duty cycle.
Developed in conjunction with leading companies within the Automotive, Aerospace, Medical, Industrial and Telecoms sectors, Maxwell has evolved into a highly modular, scalable cost effective solution which leverages the entire ANSYS product portfolio, making it suitable from SME's to large corporations; it is one of the most accurate, productive, complete and innovative simulation solutions available today.
