A key benefit of Angled Receptacle Isolators is that they are being offered as a complete, qualified subassembly, comprised of the housing, fiber-stub, and angled isolator. The subassembly is customer-configurable, giving developers the option to define the receptacle mechanical outline and isolator tilt angle so that it can be seamlessly integrated into an OEM’s existing modules. This results in substantially lower production complexity while minimizing transceiver size and reducing overall cost compared to implementing a free space optical isolator.
