AirMagnet Completes First Year as Part of Fluke Networks; Demonstrates Strong Growth
AirMagnet, now part of Fluke Networks, today marked the first year anniversary of its acquisition by Fluke Networks. In addition to demonstrating strong shipment growth over the past year, AirMagnet also showed strong global expansion, released several new compelling WLAN solutions to the market, and extended key partnerships worldwide.
“We’ve been very pleased with the results during our first year as part of Fluke Networks,” said Dean Au, Founder, General Manager and Vice President of AirMagnet. “Not only have we seen steady growth despite a tough economy, but we’ve managed to expand our presence significantly in key verticals, as well as globally through Fluke Networks global reach.”
AirMagnet products offer a unique combination of over-the-air monitoring, expert troubleshooting, and management simplicity that help IT managers get on top of the proliferation of devices and exploits for planning, managing, securing and troubleshooting enterprise wireless network deployments. Some of the company’s key achievements over the past 12 months include:

• Strong Vertical Growth: AirMagnet has seen strong market penetration and growth in education (25% increase), retail and hospitality (40% increase), healthcare, government, and the manufacturing sectors (70% increase), where mission-critical new WLANs are being deployed or expanded. In addition, during the first half of 2010, AirMagnet saw significant movement for its pre-deployment solutions, reflecting the growth of the WLAN market.
• Partnerships: AirMagnet continued strong partner growth, including relationships with D-Link and Ruckus Wireless.
• Community: AirMagnet launched a new industry-wide social community aimed at educating experts and novices alike on the security and performance issues associated with a WLAN. Called the AirWISE Community, the resource resides at www.airwisecommunity.com
