Agilent to Participate as Sole Test, Measurement Expert at JEDEC Flash Storage Summits

The Agilent presentation includes discussion of flash memory's unique validation needs as well as validation requirements for the next generation of flash memories and modules. Design and validation teams will learn how to prepare to execute a smooth validation process to ensure rapid time to market and satisfied customers.

Flash memory is taking off as GPS systems, mobile devices, digital cameras and personal digital assistants gain momentum. Flash offers high performance and large storage capacity in extreme environments. Several flash-memory technologies exist, many optimized for different applications. Agilent is working to support all interface standards and is helping to define and drive the creation of the Universal Flash Storage specification, which JEDEC is developing.

Agilent has helped the flash-memory industry focus on customer needs such as keeping up with higher signaling speeds, lowering development costs and addressing the growth of multimedia applications. Agilent's memory-specific offerings are the broadest and deepest in the industry. The company's involvement with organizations such as JEDEC is making it possible to support key customers as standards are introduced, devices are developed and the memory technologies evolve. Agilent's memory support is key to the design, characterization and debug of memory devices and the systems incorporating them.

Agilent is focused on working with JEDEC and with customers who rely on new memory technologies for their business and strategic success, and is pleased to support JEDEC in putting together the Flash Storage Summits, said Siegfried Gross, vice president and general manager of Agilent's Digital Test Division.
