ADD semiconductor opens US office, appoints general manager Americas
ADD semiconductor, the high-performance powerline communication (PLC) IC company for smart metering, lighting and home/building automation applications, today announced the opening of its first US office. The Orlando, Florida, based facility will be headed up by Eddie Luaces who joins the company as general manager Americas.

The new office will enable us to offer an enhanced level of local service and support which will be welcomed by ADD's customers in the region, stated Guillaume d'Eyssautier, CEO, ADD.
Eddie Luaces possesses such a wealth of knowledge and experience in product design, sales, and marketing and is the ideal candidate to oversee ADD's presence in North America and surrounding regions. Having Eddie on-board in this market will not only help us to serve our existing customers and partners better, but will also help us to strengthen and intensify our position in this very important region of the world, concluded d'Eyssautier.
Eddie brings a wealth of experience to the team from many years of working as a semiconductor product design and development engineer, combined with senior product design, sales and support knowledge from his experience at a highly-successful wireless communications start-up. He has a considerable track record in building strong teams and customer relationships that result in sustained business growth. Eddie joins ADD from the Motorola Solutions Wireless Broadband Group.
