Aerco, Horsham-based electronics and electrical component distributor has bought part of the Spartan Europe business from the administrators. As a result of this transaction Aerco has gained new franchise relationships with Wernes Cambion, Hi-G Italia, Hypertac and Oxley.
This means that Aerco will now supply the Cambion range of inductors, coils, terminal pins and custom PR connectors, Hi-G Italia electromechanical and solid state relays, plus a range of filters, lamps, LEDs and terminals from Oxley. Aerco will also supply the extensive range of PCB, circular, rectangular and ARINC connectors from Hypertac that are designed to meet the high demands of the industrial, medical, military and aerospace markets.

These new franchises will extend the range of products that customers can buy from Aerco and strengthen Aerco’s presence in its key markets of aviation, defence and transportation.

Formed in 1956 by Bill Laughton, the father of present managing director Rob Laughton, Aerco has always set high standards in terms of customer service and in-house technical expertise. The company also makes a major investment in stock in order to respond quickly to the requirements of customers and this and the extensive product range helps customers run an efficient and effective supply chain management system. Aerco operates a full inventory management system for Raytheon Systems and is an appointed strategic partner for Westland Helicopters, Ultra Electronics, EADS Astrium and many other major manufacturers.

Over the past four years Aerco’s annual turnover has grown from £5m to £8m and we are expecting that with the impact of these new initiatives sales will rise to over £10m this financial year.
