7Layers Presented With PTCRB Award Of Excellence
At their latest meeting in Savannah, Georgia (USA), in March this year, the PTCRB wireless device certification forum presented the new “PTCRB award of excellence” to 7Layers for their outstanding work at the PTCRB. Established in 1997 by North American Mobile Network Operators, the PTCRB provides a certification program for wireless devices supporting GERAN (GSM), UTRAN and E-UTRAN (LTE) technologies.
7LayThe main criteria for the “PTCRB award of excellence” were:
-the number and value of test case contributions and the respective enhancement of industry standards
-the capability to exceed expectations when working together with PTCRB
-the feedback regarding 7Layers laboratory performance received by the PTCRB from network operators and the CTIA.
The PTCRB award underlines the importance of choosing professional and reliable partners in the fast-changing wireless-technologies environment.
7Layers feels very honored to have received the “PTCRB award of excellence” as one of the first accredited test laboratories ever, which emphasizes the many years of successful cooperation between 7Layers, their very engaged individuals and the PTCRB.
The award was given by the PTCRB chair Mr. Glen Scales on behalf of all PTCRB operators. “It has been a great honor to receive this award out of the hands of our long-terms partners”, said Mr. Thomas Jaeger (Director 7Layers Group). “We are very committed to the work at PTCRB as one of the leading industry bodies adding a lot of value to the success of cellular communication technologies”.
