6WIND Adds Industry Veteran Charlie Ashton as Vice President of Marketing and US Business Development
6WIND today announced the appointment of Charlie Ashton as Vice President of Marketing and United States Business Development. With the addition of Ashton to guide global marketing and US business development efforts, 6WIND is expanding its leadership team as part of continued investments that have resulted in significant business growth during 2009, despite the challenging economic conditions worldwide.
AcknAshton has extensive experience in the embedded systems industry. His career includes engineering, business development and marketing leadership roles at software, semiconductor and systems companies. He previously led the introduction of new products and the development of new business at Green Hills Software, Timesys, Motorola (now Freescale Semiconductor), AppliedMicro, AMD and Dell. Ashton holds a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Reading in England.
