2010 European Supply Chain Excellence Awards: Tekdata on the short list
Tekdata Interconnections announced it is in contention for a European Supply Chain Excellence award in the Automotive, Aerospace & Industrial category. The winner will be announced at the Awards dinner on held Thursday 18th November at London's Grosvenor House Hotel in Mayfair. The European Supply Chain Excellence Awards were launched in 1997 as an initiative to recognise and reward organisations across Europe that demonstrate excellence in their supply chain operations.
ThesThe objectives of the European Supply Chain Excellence Awards are:
• To recognise achievement in supply chain management across Europe;
• To reward those companies who have attained highest standards;
• To highlight the importance of, and the opportunities offered by, excellent supply chain management;
• To celebrate as an industry the successes of the past year;
• To provide a Networking opportunity for Europe's Senior Supply Chain Professionals.
In essence, Tekdata has been selected because it developed fruitful partnerships with many of its key suppliers to offer greater innovation and more comprehensive turn-key solutions to otherwise intractable problems. This further demonstrates Tekdata’s long term commitment to supporting its clients in every area relevant to their business. The company counts many of the country’s and the world’s leading businesses among its clients. It is growing very strongly year on year, putting in over 20% organic growth per annum through the last recession. Being shortlisted for these awards represents yet more recognition for Tekdata, the company having just last year been named ‘Company of the Year for Innovation’ by the Northern Defence Industries.
Ernie Edwards of Tekdata Interconnections said: “Being named on the European Supply Chain Excellence Awards short list is a tribute to our staff who work to the highest standards every day. It also recognizes that our Supply Chain staff have done as much as our engineers, manufacturing and sales staff to achieve our current success.”
