AIKO’s Jinan factory rolls out its first solar module
Building on the success of its Zhuhai and Yiwu bases, AIKO has officially launched its Jinan facility, combining semiconductor-industry management, Industry 4.0, and 100% green power.
The factory recently produced its first high-efficiency crystalline silicon solar module from the 10GW Phase I project, marking the operational debut of this advanced facility for N-Type ABC modules.
As a global leader in zero-carbon energy, AIKO has designed the Jinan base as a "zero-carbon intelligent factory," setting a new standard for photovoltaic manufacturing with green and low-carbon principles embedded into every stage of production.
Setting new green manufacturing standards
Through Industry 4.0 technologies, the Jinan facility achieves full digitalisation and intelligence in its production workshops. The factory operates entirely on renewable electricity, reuses 90 % of water, and recovers over 30 % of waste heat, establishing itself as a model for sustainable manufacturing.
Advanced production and smart design
The Jinan base integrates cell and module production on a 1.5-kilometer-long line, enabling efficient manufacturing from silicon wafer to module. Semiconductor-industry factory design and flexible layouts boost unit-area capacity by 50 %. Multi-story construction minimises the distance between utilities and equipment, reducing energy consumption and enhancing productivity.
Innovative and intelligent manufacturing
AIKO employs full automation, lean manufacturing, and Make-to-Order (MTO) models to optimise production and delivery. Innovations like miniaturised equipment and process improvements reduce N-Type ABC production costs. Advanced technologies, including AI defect detection and product traceability, further enhance efficiency, while smart positioning and autonomous systems make operations seamless.
Future-ready with global impact
With a planned capacity of 30GW for N-Type ABC cells and modules, the Jinan base's Phase I covers 10GW. The module workshop is operational, and the cell workshop will be fully online by late 2025. The complete 30GW facility, set for 2029, will drive local economic growth, create jobs, and attract specialised talent.
A model for zero-carbon manufacturing
AIKO’s Jinan facility redefines photovoltaic manufacturing by integrating zero-carbon and intelligent attributes into high-efficiency N-Type ABC products. It sets a benchmark for sustainable, energy-efficient production while positioning BC technology as the cornerstone of a zero-carbon future.
Looking forward, AIKO will continue to pursue innovation, delivering low-carbon, efficient, and reliable N-Type ABC products to power the global energy transition and drive the development of a zero-carbon society.
