UK-based Digital Signage solutions manufacturer, ONELAN reports a 100% year-on-year increase in sales of their Net-Top-Box (NTB) 100 series in 2006. Monthly sales of the company’s multimedia players, which allow the upload of customised material onto any LCD or plasma screen (freeview TV, ticker-tape news from internet, video, graphics etc), also hit an all-time time high last month since their launch in 2004.

Avago Technologies has announced it has added a line of single-mode SFP transceivers for long reach SONET OC-48 to its METRAK family of SONET products. The AFCT-5745xZ line of transceivers includes high-performance, cost effective modules for serial optical data communications that range from 125 Mb/s to 2.7 Gb/s. The new SFP OC-48 transceivers are ideal for OADMs, metro routers and multiservice switches.
