Latest power and measurement technologies for advanced medical systems
Advanced Energy Industries will be presenting its range of high-performance, medically-certified power supplies at Medica 2023. This event is set to take place in Duesseldorf, Germany from 13th to 16th November.
At the AE booth (Hall 8a, J13), under the theme 'We Power What Matters', the company will display its portfolio, which includes low and high-power standard, modified standard, and configurable AC/DC and DC/DC power supplies. Additionally, it will showcase critical sensing, RF power, and pulsed electric field (PEF) technology solutions. These technologies meet the rigorous requirements of diverse medical applications, encompassing areas such as electrosurgery, imaging, life sciences, laser treatment, and patient monitoring.
Shrinidhi Chandrasekharan, Advanced Energy’s Senior Vice President for Medical Power, commented: “Medical systems, and especially those where failure can genuinely be a matter of life and death, demand robust and durable power technologies that deliver high levels of performance, meet all relevant safety standards, and operate reliably over many years. MEDICA is an important event for showcasing AE’s latest medical technologies. Our show theme of ‘We Power What Matters’ emphasises our long history of delivering leading edge, medically certified, standard and custom medical solutions for highly reliable precision power conversion and measurement in these mission-critical applications.”
Visitors to the AE booth will encounter power supplies compliant with the latest IEC60601-1 medical safety standards, developed and manufactured in line with the ISO 13485 quality standard. This standard underscores the company's ability to provide medical devices and related services that meet customer and regulatory requirements. Products from AE lines such as Artesyn, Excelsys, Lumasense, SL Power, and Ultravolt will be featured. Additionally, AE will provide information on how it assists medical equipment manufacturers in developing optimised solutions swiftly, through rapid modification and engineering services offered by its Collaborative Development Labs (CDLs) and Customer Experience Centres (CECs).
