Kontron introduces new Smartcase S730 kit solution

This compact and elegantly designed case kit succeeds the Smartcase S711 and is tailored for the D3713-V/R and D3723-R mini-ITX motherboards. These motherboards are compatible with AMD Ryzen Embedded V/R1000 and R2000 processors. Additionally, the new K3931-N mini-ITX motherboard, supporting the latest Intel Core i3 and Intel N-series processors (Alder Lake N), will also be available.

The S730 stands out for its rich DisplayPort interfaces and integrated AMD Vega graphics or Intel UHD Gen12 graphics, making it particularly suitable for graphics-intensive applications. These applications range from digital signage and casino gaming to KIOSK, POS/POI systems, and the medical field. Its reliability is further underlined by a minimum seven-year availability and a wide operating temperature range from -10° C to +70° C, rendering it apt for industrial use.

This compact mini-ITX case is equipped with a dual front USB 3.2 Gen1 port, complemented by an array of USB/GbE and COM ports on the rear. It also includes a slot for low-profile PCIe expansion cards or an internal AC adapter. For systems using the K3931-N motherboard, a USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C extension is additionally available. The adaptability of the S730 is another of its key features, supporting both horizontal and vertical orientations to suit various integration needs.

Kontron offers a comprehensive range of accessories for the S730. Customers have the option to equip it with active and passive coolers, cables, an internal 65W PSU, expansion cards, and adapters. This versatility allows for the assembly of a Box PC customised to individual requirements, enabling clients to market it as their own system solution. The case also provides ample space on the front for customised logos.

As is standard with all Smartcase chassis kits, the housing, motherboard, and cooling solution are optimally matched, climate-tested, and CE-certified at the system level.

The Smartcase S730 has been on the market since October 2023.
