Fibocom launches 5G smart module SC171

SC171 is specially designed for high-end AIoT market, which integrates powerful CPU, GPU, suitable for applications such as VR, smart robots, IIoT, smart payment, IPC, automotive aftermarket, drones, logistics, and smart home.

Powered by the Qualcomm QCM6490 IoT solution, Fibocom SC171 is a superior 5G Sub-6 smart module adopting an octa-core processor as well as Qualcomm Adreno 642L GPU, with robust computing power. Supporting 5G standalone network (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) network architectures, it is also backward compatible with LTE/ WCDMA network standards, featuring DL 4x4 MIMO as well as UL 2x2 MIMO.

In addition, SC171 enables maximum 5 channels camera inputs, supports full HD resolution and dual-screen multi-displays, which allow smooth 4K video playing, providing excellent quality images display. Other multimedia capabilities include 4K@30fps video encode and 4K@60fps decode, as well as multiple audio and voice functionalities.

Fibocom’s SC171 module supports multi-constellation GNSS receiver (GPS/GLONASS/BeiDou), which provides accurate positioning and navigation while greatly simplifies product design. It is equipped with Android 12 operating system, which allows subsequent OS upgrades. The module supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 as well as a rich set of interfaces (dual USB/dual PCIe/MIPI/UART/SPI/I2C), enabling much flexibility and ease of integration to meet various application demands of the AIoT industry.
